Ingredients of Keema Paratha

1 tablespoon garlic paste
250 gm minced mutton
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon powdered turmeric
1 tablespoon lime juice
cup ghee
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1 handful chopped coriander leaves
water as required

How to make Keema Paratha

Step 1 Knead the dough
In a bowl, add whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything well and then using water knead the dough. Make sure the dough is soft and smooth. Once done, cover the dough with a towel and keep it aside for 20 mins.

Step 2 Prepare the filling
Take a pan and heat some oil. Add onions and fry them until they turn translucent in color. Then add ginger paste and garlic paste. Fry for another 2 mins. Add minced mutton and fry for 3 minutes on high flame.

Step 3 Add the masalas to the filling
Now, add red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, coriander powder, a pinch of salt, and roasted cumin powder. Mix everything well. Then add 3/4 cup water to the pan and cover the lid. Let it cook on a medium flame for about 12-15 mins. Remove the lid and cook the mutton till it gets completely dry. Finally, add lime juice and fresh coriander. Mix everything well and switch off the gas flame. Let the filling cool.

Step 4 Roll the dough
Divide the dough into 4 parts. Roll it to make a nice round circle. In the center, add 2 tbsp of the mutton filling. Bring the ends together and dust with dry flour. Roll the circle again to make stuffed paratha.

Step 5 Cook the paratha
Heat ghee on a pan, add stuffed uncooked paratha, and cook it from both sides until you see small light brown spots. Keep pressing the paratha gently.

Step 6 Your Keema Paratha is ready to serve hot
Transfer the paratha to a plate. Top it with butter/ ghee and serve hot with vegetable raita or mint chutney. Enjoy this royal keema paratha.
